Steelers Training Camp 2006
On Saturday morning, Bromley and Kimbo awoke to the sound of (what Bromley thought was a jackhammer being applied to his forehead) a 7am alarm. Turns out Dave McCabe (friday nights bbq host - with the most) is a very bad influence. Anyway we managed to get up and were on our way to Latrobe, PA. Latrobe is approximately 3 hours southeast of Erie, PA down interstate 90. We arrived at Saint Vincents College in Latrobe at approximately 12pm just for the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. I found out later that night that 20,000 people showed up to support their team and everyone wore some sort of merchandise. It was a sea of black and gold. The temperature was very warm - probably 30 deg. and these guys were out there training.While Kimbo sat under a tree and read a book, (I can hear you all saying "I cant believe you made Kimbo go to that Bromley - I took her to Niagara Falls the next day - So nerrr!), I got to see the World Champions hard at it. The best came just as we were leaving to get some lunch, QB Roethlisberger threw a 60 yd bomb between two defenders for a WR Washington touchdown. What a legend! Here we come Superbowl XLI.

I found a shady spot under a tree and read my book... oh and received a VERY DRUNK phone call from Fel and Dave, thanks guys it was awesome! Did any love end up happening between a certain 'liz' and a certain other? WOOOO!!!!
Hey that phone call was just after we made another phone call to Dan and talked for about a minute to a dial tone before realising there was no one on the other end of the line

That's so weird that it was the middle of the day there and we were at the end of our night out. I wish they told me that they were gonna call you, I was havin a boogie on the dance floor!
Haha liz I wish I coulda been there boogyin with ya! Dave yes you were extremely plastered and you guys kept saying 'yeeha'! And Dave you obviously don't have my matchmaking capabilities, I will have to find someone else to replace my reign as matchmaker of Newcastle. Dissapointing Dave, very dissapointing.
